Founder of The Flanagan Collective, Alex is a playwright, director and producer. Alex started working professionally as a founder of Belt Up Theatre, a ground-breaking immersive theatre company based in York.
Alex set up The Flanagan Collective in 2011 as a way to create a range of work with new performers and artists. Alex set up The Little Festival of Everything, and focussed on finding innovative ways to combine new work and new audiences. He produced new-writing and encouraged collaborations with artists from across the country.
Alex's own writing has been performed by The Flanagan Collective including Some Small Love Story, The William Stories, Beulah, Babylon, Fable and Snakes and Giants.
Brian Hook is producer for The Flanagan Collective and creative director for THE ARTS THEATRE in London’s West End. He is one half of producers HARTSHORN - HOOK PRODUCTIONS who are responsible for over a hundred productions and have recently transferred ROTTERDAM at from Theatre503 to Trafalgar Studios and are associate producers on the UK national touring production of Greenday’s AMERICAN IDIOT.
He creates work across all scales from mentoring Fringe companies to producing large scale, main house work. He works internationally in America, Australia, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand and The Seychelles. He is as happy working in main house commercial theatre as he is in the back of a pub in the Highlands.
Veronica is a performer that has worked on several Flanagan Collective productions including Some Small Love Story, The William Stories, Fable, The Tempest and Snakes and Giants. She has worked with the company on productions that include small-scale rural touring and international tours to Australia.
As a producer for the company she has produced shows in Edinburgh, York and Adelaide.
She now works as General Manger for The Flanagan Collective.
